Once you have created a campaign, the first screen that you will see is the campaign dashboard. The dashboard screen contains different sub-sections as listed below. Click the below links to refer the documentation for each section in the campaign dashboard -

Campaign Overview
The campaign overview tab will display the details of the campaign in a graphical format. The graph will plot the number of gift cards issued, number of gift cards redeemed, the volume of gift cards issued, and volume of gift cards redeemed over a period of the last 5 days. The campaign overview will also depict the campaign rules that were set while creating the campaign. The fields with the slider icon turned on during the campaign creation will have a "green tick" mark while the other fields (with slider icon turned off) will have a "red cross" mark. Click Edit to make changes to the campaign rules.
Giftcard Terms
Gift card terms are the conditions that are written or printed on the gift card of any Product Campaign. Once you have created the campaign, you can define the terms for all the gift cards that are generated as part of the campaign. By default, the gift card terms will be created with a default text. You can click the Edit button to make changes to the terms specific to the campaign.
Create Bulk Cards
This is the place where you can generate your gift card. The gift card will be created based on the rules defined when creating a campaign. You can choose to create a specific quantity of gift cards based on your requirement. It is not mandatory to assign the gift card to any specific Store or Vendor while creating the cards. The cards created will be retained as part of the specific campaign and can be later assigned to a store or vendor from the Allocate Cards section.
To create a gift card or a bulk of gift cards, follow the steps as shown below -
- Quantity - Enter the number of gift card(s) that you want to generate as part of the campaign. For example, for the Black Friday Sale, let's say we want to create 5 gift cards. Enter the value 5 in the text box. This is a mandatory field.
- Denomination - Enter the denomination of the gift card. The card will be loaded with this value (amount) when it gets generated. This is a mandatory field.
NOTE: The Denomination field appears only if the "Preloaded Card" slider is turned on when creating the campaign. If you have disabled that option, you will not see this field when creating a gift card. - Vendor - This is an optional step (as explained in the beginning of this section)
- Set Card Expiry - This is an optional step. By default, this option is turned off. Click the slider to turn it on. When enabled, the card expiry period (1 year in this case) that was set during the campaign creation will take effect.
- Click Create Gift card to create the gift card(s)
- Once the gift cards are created, you will see the list of gift cards with the details such as the card number, currency, value, expiry, campaign, delivery mode, allocated to, card id and batch id.
- You can download a CSV with the details of the gift cards that are generated by clicking the Download CSV button
Gift Cards
The gift cards tab will provide the details of all the gift cards that are generated as a part of the campaign. You can also look into the details of every single gift card that has been generated, the current status of the gift card, details of the campaign in which the gift card belongs, different card transactions (such as creation, activation), details of the customer who has purchased the gift card, and so on. This section will cover the detailed information about the different operations that can be performed on the gift cards tab.
In the gift cards tab, click on any of the gift card record to view the detailed gift card information. The gift card details page will contain the Card Details, Card Transactions and Customer Details. This information is specific to the selected gift card.
Viewing the gift card details
The gift card details tab will display the following information -
- Gift card number
- Card expiry date
- Gift card value - available amount vs. total amount
- Options to activate, deactivate and block the gift card
- Detailed campaign information
Card Transactions
The card transactions tab will list all the transactions specific to the selected gift card with the transaction reference number, date of the transaction, transaction amount and the transaction made by details.
Customer Details
The customer details tab provides the information of the owner of the gift card and the buyer of the gift card. When the gift card is created, you will initially see these details as "NA". If the gift card was purchased for personal use by a person, the Buyer and Owner details will be the same. If the gift card was bought by the buyer to gift it to someone else, then the buyer and owner details will be different. The buyer will be the person who purchased the gift card and the owner will be the person who owns (possesses) the gift card.
Transactions
The Transactions section will provide information about the transactions that have been performed on all the gift cards that are a part of the campaign. This section will provide the transaction type, transaction date, transaction amount, transaction made by person and transaction reference number details. You can search for a specific gift card number, transaction id, transaction type, transaction date and/or transaction amount by entering the search text in the "Search" box. Click Back to navigate back to the card details section. To view the transaction details of a specific gift card, you can navigate to the "Card Transactions" section under "Giftcards".
Every operation that is performed for a gift card gets recorded in the server as a transaction. A transaction reference number is created for every single gift card transaction. There are six types of gift card transactions - CREATION, ACTIVATION, ALLOCATED, REDEMPTION, PURCHASED, BLOCKED.

NOTE: When you create the campaign with the "Activation Required" flag set (slider icon turned on), only the CREATION transaction will be created when the gift card is created. Once the gift card is manually activated, the ACTIVATION transaction will be created. If the campaign is created with the "Activation Required" flag turned off, then both CREATION and ACTIVATION transaction will be created.
Import Giftcard
Users can import their own gift cards into the 99minds gift card platform. To get started, you can download the sample CSV file from the platform and modify it with your gift card details. Below is a screenshot of the sample gift card template.
Once you have the CSV file ready with all the information, follow the steps to import the gift card -
- Click "Choose File" under Import Giftcards section
- Select the CSV file
- Click Upload. If the import is successful, you will see a confirmation message as "Gift cards import is successful". If there are any mistakes in the CSV file, you will see an error message with the error information. The gift card(s) will be added to the list of gift cards.
Promotions
There may be occasions when you may need to create special promotions/offers/discounts on gift cards during special events such as Christmas, Black Friday, etc. To create a promotion, select the Promotions tab under the Campaign.
Creating a New Promotion
To add a new promotion, click Add Promotion.
In the New Promotion screen,
- Enter the discount value. You can either set the discount in % or as $.
If you select the % option, you must additionally enter the maximum discount in $ in the next step. If you select the $ option, you need not enter the maximum discount value. - Enter the minimum gift card value
- Click Submit to create the new promotion
The promotion will be created within the campaign.
Managing the Promotion
You can manage the promotion details by clicking the Edit button. You can make changes to the promotion and save the details.
For example, in the above section when creating a promotion, we selected the discount value as the "%" option. Let's now change it to the "$" option.
Click Submit to save the edited promotion details.
Deactivate an existing promotion
You can deactivate an existing promotion within the campaign by clicking the Deactivate button. This will deactivate the active promotion and no discounts will be applicable on the gift cards. You will see a confirmation message as "Promotion deactivated". The Deactivate button will get changed to Activate. To once again activate the promotion (and make changes), click the Activate button.
Promotion Codes
Similar to promotions, you can special promotion codes for gift cards to attract customers to buy the gift cards. This is beneficial during specific times of the year like Christmas etc. You can also set the validity period for the campaign.
For example, you can create special promo codes as "XMAS100OFF" and "XMAS500OFF". Customers can use this promotion code that will apply a discount of $100 when they buy gift cards worth $1000 or more. Similarly, using the XMAS500OFF will apply a discount of $500 when they buy gift cards worth $5000 or more. Customers must apply these promotion codes while purchasing the gift card.
Creating a Promotion Code
To create a new promotion code, click the Promotion Codes tab in the Campaign.
- If there are no records in the Promotion Codes list, you will see the message as "No data available in the table". To add a new promotion code, click + Add Promo Code.
- Enter the promotion code
- Enter the discount value. You can either set the discount in % or as $.
If you select the % option, you must additionally enter the maximum discount in $ in the next step. If you select the $ option, you need not enter the maximum discount value. - Enter the minimum gift card value
- Enter the promotion validity details - Valid From and Valid To
- Click Submit to create the promotion code
Managing Promotion Codes
If you want to edit your existing promotion details, navigate to the Promotion Codes section. Click the Edit icon on the promotion code that you want to edit.
In the Edit Promotion Code screen, make the changes and click Submit to save the details.
