Creating and Managing Brands

In simple terms, Brand is something that helps to identify a business or a company. Businesses invest huge amount of money to build their brand identity amongst their competitors. For example, Apple is a well-known brand that identifies the American multinational technology company "Apple Inc." located in Cupertino, California. In the context of gift card platform, brands are equivalent to "store" brands. Customers can create different types of brands according to their requirements. A brand can be a vendor's own store product that they want to promote with the help of gift cards. Alternatively, customers can create multiple pseudo brands under the main brand.

Creating a New Brand

The primary step in setting up a gift card platform is to create a new brand for the organization. 

  1. Log in to the gift card application
  2. Under the Configure section on the left menu, click Brands
  3. If there are no records in the Brands List, you will see the message as "No data available in the table". To add a new brand, click + Add Business Unit.

  4. Enter the Brand Name in the text box provided
  5. Select the checkbox if you want to make the new brand active
  6. Click Create to create the brand. Click Back to skip the brand creation process.

Brand Details (Overview)

Once the brand has been created, the Overview tab will display the brand details (brand name, active status and reference number). In addition, users can also perform the following options - Update Image and Edit the brand details.

Update Image

Users can choose to update the brand image to be added on the gift card. Click Update Image. The image should be 1400x900 pixels in dimension. To view a sample image, click the Sample Image link.

Click Choose File and select the image file to be uploaded. Click Upload. The image will be uploaded and will be reflected under the Brand Details section.

Update Existing Brand Details

If you want to redefine any of your brands, navigate to the Brands section and select the brand (that you want to modify) from the list. In the Overview tab, click Edit. You can edit the brand name and change the status of the brand. Click Submit to save the brand details.

Gift cards

The gift cards tab will list the gift cards that are associated with the selected brand.
