In addition to the pre-built entities, you can also create your own Custom Entities. Custom entities are required when additional data is required to create more customized campaign rules. For example, if you are creating a new coupon code, you can create a new "Coupon Code" entity depending on the requirement and add relevant custom facts under the entity.
To create a new entity, navigate to the Data Settings page. To access the data settings, select "Manage" under your profile name on the top right corner of the 99minds app.
To create a new entity, click Entities from the left sub-menu under the "Data" tab. You will see the list of pre-defined entities that are listed. To create a new entity, click the + New Entity button.
- Entity Name - The actual name (key) of the entity. Remember to provide a meaningful key for the entity. The entity name should be expressed as Upper Camel Case. It should start with an Upper case letter - example: OrderTotal, UserProfile etc.,
- Label - Enter a label for the entity that will be displayed
- Save - Click the Save button to create the new entity
Editing an Entity
All pre-defined and newly created entities can be edited by clicking the Edit button. In the Edit screen, you can modify the entity name and entity label. Click Update to update the entity details.
The search functionality can be used to search for a specific entity based on the entity name or reference number. Every entity created will have a reference number associated with it. Users can search for the entity with this reference number.
